JAGS International supports practical glaucoma education, mentorship, and international collaboration to advance eye care and build long-term local expertise in the communities we serve.
Founded and led by Dr. Julia Agapov, a fellowship-trained glaucoma surgeon, JAGS International works with local ophthalmologists, residents, and institutions to strengthen skills, expand access to care, and foster enduring professional relationships.

Through hands-on training, surgical collaboration, and professional exchange, Dr. Julia Agapov works closely with local ophthalmologists, residents, and medical institutions to strengthen glaucoma care and share surgical expertise. Recent activities include Honduras and Uzbekistan, among other locations, with a focus on clinical education, lasting professional relationships, and improved access to specialized glaucoma care.

Central Asia Glaucoma Alliance
JAGS International is a U.S. member and international partner of the Central Asia Glaucoma Alliance, established in October 2024 during the International Ophthalmological Congress in Tashkent. The Alliance connects glaucoma specialists across Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan to advance education, collaboration, and regional professional development.

The JAGS International Glaucoma School is a planned educational initiative focused on practical, hands-on training, wet labs, surgical demonstrations, and case-based learning.
